By registering for this event, you agree that any physical activities involve some element of personal risk and that, accordingly, in consideration for the registrant waiving his/her claim against Evanston Fourth of July Association, and their agents; the registrant will be allowed to participate in any of the above activities. By engaging in this activity, the registrant acknowledges that he/she assumes the element of inherent risk and, in consideration for being allowed to engage in the activity, agrees to indemnify and hold Evanston Fourth of July Association and their agents; harmless from any liability for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death caused by participation in this activity. Further, the registrant agrees to indemnify and hold Evanston Fourth of July Association and their agents; harmless from any and all costs incurred including, but not limited to, actual attorney's fees that Evanston Fourth of July Association, and their agents; may suffer by any action or claim brought against it by anyone as a result of the registrant's use of such facility.  Date of Event: JULY 4, 2024. Check-in and packet pickup begins at 12:00 noon at Ackerman Park (located at the intersection of McDaniel Ave & Central St.) on July 4th. Participants receive a t-shirt and race bib. After race refreshments include water, bananas and cereal bars. Get your children's picture taken with Sparky, the 4th of July mascot. The Fun Run starts at 12:45pm. Sponsors are Evanston Running Club and Flying Turkey 5K Race. Water and bananas donated by Trader Joe's. Proceeds benefit Evanston Fourth of July Association, a non-profit organization.
