Story Gathering: Indian Country Impacts from Federal Funding Freeze, Federal Hiring Freeze, and Other Recent Policies
The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is gathering stories, feedback, and information from Tribal leaders, I/T/U health care professionals, and Tribal citizens about the impacts they may have experienced as a result of policies such as the federal funding freeze, federal civilian employee hiring freeze, or other recent executive orders/memoranda.

All responses to questions are optional and your identifying information will be held confidential in NIHB's advocacy.

It is worth noting that on January 29, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memorandum  rescinding Memorandum M-25-13 which ordered a freeze on “Federal financial assistance.” Still, providing information on the impacts of what has transpired since the freeze was ordered will be helpful as the National Indian Health Board works to defend Indian health systems from impacts of recent and ongoing policy developments.

Please reach out to federalrelations@nihb.org with any questions. Feel free to share this story gathering opportunity with any Tribal leaders, I/T/U health care professionals, or Tribal citizens you believe have been impacted.
