NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SPRING 2021

Beats by Girlz was developed to create a safe and comfortable place for girls and gender-expansive youth to get involved in music technology while having as much fun as possible. The goal is to provide students with the guidance, access, tools, and support to develop their interests and ability to pursue career opportunities in music production, composition, and engineering. Program Details

Description: 10-week beginner virtual music production program using Soundtrap in cohorts of 4-7 students. Equipment is provided and no previous experience needed. The course is currently only being taught in English.

Eligible participants: Girls and gender-expansive youth ages 14-18 living in Larimer and Weld counties

Location: Virtual, Zoom and/or Google Hangouts

Duration: 10-weeks, February 28 - May 7

Time: 1-hour lesson per week + 30 min of mentorship per month

Homework Est. Time: 1 hour per week

Lesson time options (MST): 1) Sunday 4-5pm, 2) Sunday 5:30-6:30pm, 3) Wednesday 5-6pm, 4) Wednesday 6:30-7:30pm

Cost: $250, full and partial scholarships available

Equipment: All equipment provided, excluding computers. Very limited computers available to loan
