What we do and what we offer our volunteers

We work closely with indigenous and rural communities in Panama. This implicates spending time in remote and very remote areas with no electricity, running water, celular service or internet: mountains, coasts, jungle. It is imperative that we don't interfere with local customs and social dynamics. They have been living their way for thousands of years. We offer health and development programs, DO NOT IMPOSE anything on them. Some of the questions may seem odd to you but we can assure you they are important, the indigenous tribes are very set in their ways and we must adhere to their customs.

As a volunteer, you must be open-minded and have the disposition to learn, follow directions, grow, and evolve while providing kindness and support.

We don't expect our volunteers to come with experience or knowledge, we will train and teach you what to do. We want you to join us with your eyes wide open, this will require you to have a lot of love and empathy in your heart, you will be exposed to the hard realities of extreme poverty, but you will have the satisfaction of improving these people's lives.

Furthermore, we will provide you with room and board, essentials, equipment, training, and at the end of your time with us, references, recognition, and a lifetime of satisfaction, memories, and great friends.
