RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE CONTEST
Using the Lego WeDo robotic platform, student teams will be challenged to design and construct a Lego WeDo robot. During design and construction, teams will program each robot to complete specific tasks in preparation for the Challenger Learning Centers Lego WeDo Robotic Engineering Design Challenge held in February.

Rube Goldberg was a Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist best known for his zany invention cartoons. A Rube Goldberg Machine (RGM) is a crazy contraption which accomplishes a simple task in the most complicated – and funniest – way possible! Students are challenged to solve a simple task by designing, constructing, testing and improving a Rube Goldberg Machine that accomplishes the task. Students will enter their machine in the national Rube Goldberg Machine Contest
