Before starting Culdesac, Ryan dropped out of Harvard Business School to join the founding team of Opendoor, a real estate technology company now valued at $3.8B. Opendoor gives sellers a competitive cash offer on their home with the press of a button, and now has ~1,400 employees and buys over $400m of homes each month. Ryan has worked on transportation and urban planning with city government in Chile, the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Bain Capital. Ryan has also been a real estate investor for 15 years.

Now at Culdesac, Ryan is pioneering the first car-free neighborhood built from scratch in the US. Culdesac Tempe is an urban mixed-use neighborhood for 1,000 residents opening Fall 2020.
