LUMA 2019 Volunteer Form
Last year more than 50,000 people came to downtown Binghamton for LUMA Projection Arts Festival. LUMA 2019 will be taking place the nights of Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th, and we need your help! Spread the word and ask a friend to volunteer with you!

To make LUMA successful, we need volunteers in the following categories.

Street Volunteer: A Street Volunteer helps us create the festival experience of a lifetime for all. Whether you're helping set up during rehearsal week, manning our information tents, taking charge of parking services, helping out at one of our secondary sites, or helping in another role, you will help represent LUMA to all of our awesome festival-goers with the good vibes they deserve.

Accessibility Volunteers: This year we are trying to make LUMA more accessible. We need volunteers to help stand on the sidewalks to help those in need and provide guidance to festival goers regarding features. Also, we are looking for volunteers to run a sensory room for those that may need a break from the festival.

NOTE: All Street and Accessibility Volunteers must be available for one of two mandatory volunteer trainings the week before the festival.

Production Assistant Volunteer: A role focused in planning the logistics of each projection and/or installation over the Summer and the weeks leading up to the festival.

NOTE: Production Assistant Volunteers will work directly with Production and Technical staff. We will also need you on site during the festival as well.

Technical Volunteer: A Technical Volunteer will work directly with our Technical Directors to help make our projections come to life and help with any unforeseen problems throughout the night.

NOTE: In addition to helping during the festival, you will be required to attend the rehearsal for the piece which you were assigned to. These happen throughout the 4 days before LUMA. In addition, while you do not need to know the intricacies of projection mapping or the software we are using, we do ask that you have a healthy understanding of computers and technology.
