1. All students served in the Academic Learning Center (ALC) must be currently enrolled at CPCC and have a student ID card or other valid picture ID. Students who do not have a student ID will still be served, but every student is strongly encouraged to get one as various student resources require a student ID card. *

2. All students MUST sign into Labtrack on the day of their appointment in order to receive tutoring services. *

3. Students are strongly encouraged to make appointments for their tutoring sessions. If a student does not make an appointment and wishes to receive help as a “walk-in,” assistance will be based on the availability of a tutor at that time. *

The ALC Cancellation Policy will be applied through the Schedulicity App. *
Cancellations must be made at least 1 hour before an appt. or it will be considered a No-Show. • Students 10 minutes or more late for an appt. will be counted as No-Shows and will only receive the remainder of their allotted time if it has not already been claimed by a walk-in student. • 4 No-Shows will result in the loss of privilege to make appts. via the Schedulicity App for the remainder of the term (walk-in only) • Writing Center Students will be allowed 2 visits per week (on different days) and 2 visits per paper. The 2 visit per paper limit does not include a pre-draft/brainstorming session if one is needed.

5. Tutoring sessions are limited to 2 visits per week per subject. (Only 1 visit for a maximum of 1 hour per day is allowed). STUDENTS MUST LEAVE THE TUTORING AREA AT THE COMPLETION OF THEIR SESSIONS. *

6. Students must come prepared for tutoring sessions by making an attempt at the assignment as well as bringing their assignment instructions, textbook, and study guide. *

7. Tutors are not allowed to assist with test or quizzes. Math tutors cannot assist students with their signature assignments for math courses. *

8. The computers located in each center are for use by students who are receiving tutoring services and are not “open computers” for general student use. *

9. Tutors will not discuss instructors, grades, or grading policies with students and will not act as mediators between students and their instructors. *

10. Please keep your cell phone or other mobile device on silent mode during tutoring sessions. *
