Queer Alliance 2020-2021 Appointed Board (A-Board) Application
This application is for those interested in applying for a position on Queer Alliance's Appointed Board. Queer Alliance is an LGBTQ+ programming and advocacy student-run organization. Our vision statement: “Queer Alliance aims to create a self-sustaining community that supports all queer and trans (QT) undergraduate students at UCLA. Queer Alliance also aims to work with communities of color to create a more intersectional queer community in order to support and uplift QTPOC.” Our mission statement: “Queer Alliance’s goals are to create and maintain sustainable access and retention programs, create opportunities for any QT person to critically engage the community through meetings, programming, advocacy to administrators, and dialogue around topics of queerness and transness.”

As an Appointed Board member, you will work with our Elected Board to help complete a variety of tasks. A-board positions can have more than one coordinator, however, the number next to the position title is how many people we are looking to appoint per position.
The positions available for the 2020-21 academic year are as follows:
- Internship Coordinators (2)
- Queer Culture Night Coordinator (1)
- Webmaster (1)
- Social Media Manager (1)
- Queerstorian (1)
- Alumni coordinator (1)
- Pride Week Coordinator (2)
- Queer Trans (QT) Cafe Coordinators (2)
- Education Coordinator (1)
- Graduate Student Outreach Coordinator (1)

A-Board Responsibilities and Duties:

*Participate in weekly staff meetings (1-2 hours)
*Complete your position's duties
*Respond to Slack/Email/Texts Within 24-48hrs
*Attend or participate in all of our programming (NCOW, Pride Week, Pride Admit Weekend, Queer Culture Night, etc.)
*Check-In with Executive Board regularly

***Applications are due Wednesday, June 10th at 11:59PM*** (Positions will be accepted on a rolling basis after this, but first priority will be given to those who apply before the deadline)

Your application will be reviewed by the newly elected 2020-2021 Queer Alliance E-board. Following the review, we will send out emails to set up interviews.
