2020 Sandcastle Classic Registration Form: TEAMS
Thank you for your interest in joining the Leap Sandcastle Classic!
Please fill out the form below to register your team, and include as much info as you have completed and available at this stage. We've indicated fields below that will be easy to change later on, and ones that you should take the time to decide on now before you register.
Please be sure to include contact info for ALL team captains and team members so everyone is included on important communications from Leap this season. If you team isn't yet fully formed, you can add additional contacts later on.
After you register, team captains will receive a link to your team's fundraising page, where you can submit your $500 registration fee to complete the registration process. Teams are not officially registered until this fee is submitted.

1) Team Name
Get creative! The 2019 Sandcastle Classic theme was "Let's Play", and some team names included: Driftwood Mac, Let's Playa, and The Play Station. This year's theme is "Spooky Sands." If you don't know your team name yet, that's ok! Just put TBD here and you can update your team name later on.
2) Partner Companies & Partner School Name
Include a list below of ALL the participating companies on your team (including your own) and your partner school's name. If you're still working on building out your team, that's ok, you can make updates later on.
3) Team Captain Contact Info
You can equate the Team Captain role to a supervisor or project manager position. We suggest identifying 1-2 people as team captain at EACH partner company on your team, rather than assign a single team captain to manage your team as a whole. Include the following info for EACH Team Captain on your team in a list below: First name, last name, email address, name of the company they work for, and a personal phone number to reach them in case of emergencies:
4) Team Member Contact Info
Leap will make a google group email address for your team based on your team name (e.g.
). We will add the contact info for team captains listed in #3 above and every contact you include here to the group email address. When an email is sent to this group address, everyone in the group will receive the message. You can always add contacts later as additional members join your team. Include the following info for ALL OTHER team members aside from team captains in a list below: First name, last name, email address, and name of the company they work for:
5) Senior Advocate Contact Info
Partner companies have the best experience in Sandcastle when participation takes place across the entire firm, and not just among a few isolated individuals. Looping in a senior leader at each partner company is a great way to strengthen the firm's involvement on the team, and senior leaders aren't required to have any specific responsibilities beyond advocating for their firm's participation. . Include the following info for a Senior Advocate at EACH partner company on your team in a list below: First name, last name, email address, name of the company they work for. Leap will follow up with each senior advocate directly with more info on their role, and they will NOT be included in the google group address for your team (unless you request otherwise).
6) Partner School Contact Info
List the first name, last name, email address, school name, and personal phone number of two key representatives at your partner school. We recommend you identify the classroom teacher and principal as your two key liaisons. If you don't have a partner school yet or haven't identified these people, no problem, you can finalize this later on in the season.

9) Do you need help finding a partner school?
Each team must partner with at least one school, and most teams partner with 1-2 classrooms at a single school. Teams must work with students in grades 3rd, 4th or 5th.

10) Base Fundraising Goal
The minimum fundraising contribution is $4,250, and we encourage teams to set both a base fundraising goal and a stretch goal below to help keep your efforts on track. Consider setting a base goal that surpasses the fundraising minimum of $4,250. If your team was able to surpass your 2019 fundraising goal, that’s a good indication you’re ready to bump up your base goal this year! If you'd like to modify your fundraising goal at any point during the season, you must notify Leap before making any changes.
11) Stretch Fundraising Goal
Set a stretch fundraising goal that you’ll try to rally your team’s energy and resources to meet. Consider setting a stretch goal of at least $12,000 in order for Leap to meet our overall event campaign goal. The top team fundraising record is $60,000! If you'd like to modify your fundraising goal at any point during the season, you must notify Leap before making any changes.

Add your team's response to this question, and share with us any motivations, hopes, or goals that are driving your team's participation in the Leap Sandcastle Classic this year. Whatever the reason, we're grateful for your involvement and look forward to coming together in support of arts education for Bay Area students!
13) Please review the terms of participation below:
My team agrees to meet the minimum fundraising requirement of $4,250 in order to participate in the Sandcastle Classic. We understand if the $4,250 minimum is not met by the day of the event on October 24th, my team will not be eligible to win Best in Show Bronze, Silver or Gold. If my team has not met the $4,250 minimum by November 30th, 2020, my team will pay the remaining difference to Leap. My team also agrees to pay a $500 registration fee by check or online through our fundraising page as soon as we receive the url, which will count towards our fundraising efforts.
