Care Packages for Those in Need
Hygiene Kits/Care Packages for the Homeless
Homeless people struggle to obtain basic necessities to wash their hands, brush their teeth, and feed themselves, among other things. Volunteers will get the opportunity to make a change in the Harlem community by donating and packaging care kits for the homeless.

Goal: To prepare at least 100 care packages

Logistics: Volunteers would bring donations of some kind (i.e. toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, scarves, gloves, etc.)

Morning Packing:

From about 10am-12pm we will work in assembly lines packing the items into bags. Our goal is to secure at least 100 of each item on the suggested items list for the packages.

Lunchtime Distribution (between 1:00pm-3:00pm):

Volunteers will travel in groups of 4-5 people to distribute bags to the homeless in the area between 135th and 125th Streets. Any excess items will be donated to a local shelter.
