Where: WWS

Please RSVP for the upcoming Biodynamic Beekeeping adult education event on Friday, January 19 and 20.

One person per RSVP, please.

Session I: Friday, January 19, 6:30-9 p.m.
Introduction by Gunther Hauk: the current state of the honeybee crisis and the role of the honeybee as a pollinator and beyond. Screening of Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us, a 2010 documentary about the honey bee crisis, featuring Gunther Hauk and WWS grandparent, Ron Breland. The film will be followed by a Q&A time with Gunther. A light supper will be available for purchase for $7 per person or $25 for family of 4 or more. Movie screening free.

Session II: Saturday, January 20, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Gunther Hauk will lead us through the basic principles of Biodynamic beekeeping and gardening. We will examine the following questions: How do these principles, developed by Rudolf Steiner, differ from other more common sustainable approaches? How does knowing about the crisis change the way we think about the health and vitality of the honeybee? And, what can we do in our own homes, gardens and schools to support these life-giving methods? No fee.
