The National Society of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) and Farm Credit are now accepting applications for the Farm Credit VIP Scholarship Program.
Scholarship recipients will receive VIP Farm Credit merch, the opportunity to participate in the Farm Credit VIP Track of the 2023 National MANRRS Conference, a travel scholarship to the conference and a $1,000 academic scholarship. The scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s college tuition, room and board for the spring or fall 2023 semester.
The Farm Credit VIP Track will provide scholarship recipients with meaningful interactions with Farm Credit leadership and expose students to information about careers at Farm Credit in fields including finance, credit, capital markets, informational technology, marketing, etc. Students will benefit from leadership development and training to better prepare them to find a career in the agriculture industry.
To apply, complete this application by Friday, December 2, 2022.
Recipients must:
-Be an active member of MANRRS
-Attend and engage in ALL sessions and activities planned for the Farm Credit VIP Scholars conference programs.
-Complete pre-session leadership development assignments by assigned due date (approximately 2 to 3 hours)
- Attend the MANRRS Career Fair & Training Conference in Atlanta on April 12-16, 2023
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Not have participated in the program previously
- Be an undergraduate students (graduate students are not eligible)
Permissions: Farm Credit staff may reach out to your MANRRS chapter advisor for information to help with the selection process. We ask that you list your chapter advisor's name, email and phone number in the application below. If you are selected for this scholarship, we will share your contact information with our local Farm Credit institutions in case they want to reach out to you, and will publicize you as a recipient of this award.
