ABSTRACTS DUE: AUGUST 28, 2026Background:
The CA-NV Section of AWWA is hosting the Water Conference of the West (WCW27) in Sacramento, California April 19-22, 2027. WCW27 will bring together over 1,500 water professionals ranging from Treatment and Distribution Operators to Engineers, Utility Mangers, Consultants, and Manufacturers to experience Technical Sessions, Exhibit Hall, Competitions, and Networking. We encourage you to be part of the Technical Program by submitting an abstract.
The theme of Water Conference of the West 2027 is THRIVING UNDER PRESSURE.
In the water industry, pressure isn’t just a measurement — it’s a constant call to rise, adapt, and lead with purpose. Thriving Under Pressure celebrates the professionals who turn challenges into catalysts for innovation, tenacity, and growth. From aging infrastructure to evolving regulations, the urgent demands of climate adaptability, and evolving expectations for reliability, our community continues to show that strength is built not in the absence of pressure, but because of it.
This theme honors the operators, engineers, managers, consultants, manufacturers, and partners who keep our systems flowing and our communities safe. It recognizes the teamwork, ingenuity, and dedication that define the CA‑NV AWWA spirit. Together, we don’t just withstand pressure — we thrive through it, shaping a more reliable, sustainable, and resilient water future for all.
We’re seeking abstracts that demonstrate practical solutions, data‑driven insights, applied research, and field‑tested strategies that improve performance under real‑world constraints. Whether your work advances treatment optimization, distribution system reliability, cybersecurity, asset management, water quality monitoring, or workforce readiness, now is the time to share it.
Submit your abstract and help equip the water community with tools, technologies, and knowledge that keep our systems strong—even when the pressure is high.
