Happiness is a Fox (Lithuania)
NOTE: Select only the times that align with your school's schedule. The DC Collaborative team will be assigning field-trips and will book transportation if you are awarded the trip in the lottery. If you are not awarded the trip, your request will be added to the waiting list.

Reminder: This form serves as a request and does not guarantee a reservation. The Collaborative is implementing a lottery based system and will assign trips equitably based on a random lottery assignment.

Happiness is a Fox
Presented by: Kids Euro Festival and the Lithuanian Embassy
What makes you happy? This is the question asked by Lithuanian illustrator Aušra Kiudulaite and author Evelina Daciute, the pair behind the book, The Fox on the Swing (https://www.thamesandhudsonusa.com/books/the-fox-on-the-swing-hardcover).
In their story you meet Paul, who lives in a cosy treehouse in a big city with his family. Something unexpected happens when Paul befriends a wise, friendly fox on a walk home from the bakery. The fox gives Paul a space to think about what makes him happy and what friendship means – all in the pages of a bright and quirky storybook.
During the workshop the author and the illustrator open up the secrets of their book and talk about what makes them happy.
