Research/Topic PresentationsThese presentations will be 15-20 minutes in length and should be topic-focused on innovative work, such as research, creation of new programs, datasets, methodologies, and outreach campaigns, but other topics will be considered as well. For these presentations, we ask that you submit an abstract according to the abstract guidelines detailed below.
State ReportsState reports will follow a new lightning talk and poster presentation format this year. State reports are generally defined as presentations focused on the annual activities of a state climate office or center, interesting weather events affecting a particular state, or administrative updates within a state climate office or center. The new format will consist of a strictly-timed 3-minute presentation during a State Report session, which may include an optional Powerpoint slide. Following each state report lightning talk session, presenters will have the opportunity to present and discuss their activities with meeting attendees during an extended break poster session.
Abstracts are REQUIRED for research/topic presentations, but are OPTIONAL for state reports.
All presentation submissions are due by May 1, 2019 at 1700 PDT.
