Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Johnson High School! Our supportive and active community makes a huge impact on our students. We appreciate you making time to make a difference.
Please check the committee(s) you are interested in volunteering for.
ALL - Receive emails regarding all volunteer opportunities. Help out when you can.
Clothes Closet/Lost & Found - Assist with displaying and monitoring lost and found items several times during the year. Volunteer once at the NEISD Council of PTAs Clothes Closet.
Drug Awareness/Red Ribbon Week - Work with the school counselors to organize Red Ribbon Week activities in October and other awareness activities throughout the year.
Library Helper - Assist librarians as needed from 8-9 am or 12-2 pm weekly or bi-weekly.
Prep Days - Assist with ID and schedule distribution in August prior to school start.
Reflections - Assist with Reflections art contest (September/October) and follow up with students who receive recognition.
Senior Events - Help plan, organize and chaperone senior events.
Smart Driving Club - Assist chair in running student-led smart driving club to promote safe driving and remind drivers the dangers of driving distracted in our local community and throughout San Antonio.
Staff Appreciation - Assist with staff appreciation lunches and/or provide food donations for events.
Student Volunteer Service Awards - Assist faculty coordinators with clerical data and awards ceremony.
Textbooks - Assist with the distribution and return of textbooks in Aug, Dec, Jan, and May.
Used Book Sale - Assist with the collection of book donations and/or volunteer at the NEISD Council of PTAs' Book Sale held in April.
Welcome Packets - Assist with assembling welcome packets in August prior to school start and sorting welcome packets in early September.
