Please join Scenic Hudson & others for the second webinar of a 3-part series tracking the toxic journey of fracked gas from Pennsylvania well fields to the proposed new Danskammer plant in the Town of Newburgh. Hear experts and community members speak about how fracked gas contributes to the climate crisis, harms human and environmental health and exploits communities. Our Cycle of Harm: The Toxic Path of Fracked Gas series continues on Thursday, July 23rd, at 5:30pm- please join us for Part 2: Transmission, which will focus on gas as it travels via pipeline across state lines, to the Hudson Valley. 


Panelists include:

Owl (Member, Ramapough Munsee Lenape Nation) speaking from an Indigenous perspective about land issues as they relate to fossil fuel industry, and the relationship between indigenous communities and pipelines

Kim Fraczek (Director of Sane Energy Project) showcasing the You Are Here Map, and examining the big picture of fracked gas infrastructure

Dr. Courtney M. Williams (Cofounder of Safe Energy Rights Group and Coordinator for Resist Spectra) speaking about the effects of pipelines and compressor stations and the lack of transparency and accountability of pipeline companies

Dr. Murray McBride (Environmental toxicologist and professor at Cornell University) speaking about radioactivity and fracking waste

Hayley Carlock (Director of Environmental Advocacy for Scenic Hudson) will moderate Q&A
