2021 SoNo Fest Chili Cook-Off Competitor
The 12th annual SoNo Fest & Chili Cook-Off will take place on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 from 11am - 5pm! Located on Thorn Street & 32nd Street in North Park. We are so grateful to be BACK IN ACTION this year, and thankful for all the chili makers - new and returning.
Chili competitors, get ready to rumble! Come up with your best chili recipe and compete for Best Overall, Peak Unique, Most Pleasin' Vegan (or Vegetarian), and People's Choice at this beloved community food, booze, and music fundraising event.
Restaurants provide 20 gallons of chili, equipment to hold and keep chili at safe temperatures, a handwashing station for your crew, a prep table up to 6' long, and serving staff from your restaurant (if you need SoNo volunteers to help serve, no problem!). We LOVE it when the restaurant owner and/or Chef can attend the event. Two restaurants will share a 10x10 canopy and an 8-foot table for serving. SoNo Fest will provide ALL bowls, spoons, napkins, ladles for serving, basic signage, and the canopy and serving table. You may decorate your 1/2 booth as desired! Use this space and time to get to know your community and tell attendees where they can visit your restaurant.
Restaurants will be listed on our event website and social media efforts, including #chilismackdown campaign. Please provide us with your logo and Social Media handles so we can share our love for you with our followers! *The sooner you get on the competitor list, the sooner your name gets out there in our marketing campaigns.
The parents and teachers at McKinley Elementary School have created a 501(c)(3) foundation (The McKinley Foundation) to provide funding for arts, music, theater, Spanish, garden programs, and field trips. This event is 100% volunteer organized and operated, and ALL proceeds of the entire SoNo Fest event will go to benefit the children at McKinley. Our tax ID no. is 03-0564240. Thank you so much for your support of public education in your community.
A full list of info and logistics for the event will be emailed to every competitor after acceptance.
