NABA-DC Kids Event at NMAI
When: Saturday, January 27th at 1:30pm
Where: National Museum of the American Indian
Who: NABA-DC members, families, and the wider Indian law and policy community
What: Group visit to the imagiNATIONS Activity Center and "Winter Blast: A Family Weekend of Native Games"
NABA-DC has reserved a group visit to the imagiNATIONS Activity Center from 1:30pm to 2pm. Facilitators will be teaching the older kids string games, and younger kids can play in the area. Kids wanting to participate in string games will need a ticket. Tickets are limited, so please let us know ASAP if you no longer plan to use your ticket.
NMAI is also holding an event entitled "Winter Blast: A Family Weekend of Native Games" in the main area of the museum from 10am until 5:30pm. After our group visit to the imagiNATIONS Activity Center, we can check this event out, too.
Last, NMAI's new exhibit entitled "Americans" is set to open on January 18th. The exhibit highlights the ways in which American Indians have been part of the nation's identity since before the country began.
We hope you can make it! We will reach out to you closer to the event date with additional information.
