Responsible Youth Leader Seminar is a youth empowerment series initiated and organised by Sarawak Research Society, in collaboration with UCSI University Sarawak Campus, Regional Centre of Excellence and Emerald Publishing. The seminar has received support from Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MTAC) Sarawak and other relevant agencies.

With the theme “Empowering Youth towards Responsible Citizenship and Tourism”, this seminar is to provide an educational and practical guidance about responsible leadership to university/college students and young people in Kuching (and Sarawak) who are interested in tourism and hospitality. If you are a tourism/hospitality student or a young person (or young adult) who is keen to lean about responsible citizenship and tourism, you are welcome to join.  

Details of the seminar are as follows:

Date: 19 November 2020 (Thursday)
Time, Venue, and Target Participants:
a. Morning session (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Online platform via Zoom. Everyone is welcome
b. Afternoon session (2:00 PM - 4:30 PM): Offline platform at UCSI Hotel Kuching (Executive Lounge at Level 15).
Only the first 50 students/young people who have registered and been approved are eligible.

Registration: Compulsory (certificate of attendance will be given)
Registration Fee: None
Medium: English

Important Notes:
1. All registration forms will be evaluated before approval. For the afternoon session, once 50 students/young people have been approved, we will not receive any more registration.
2. An online briefing will be arranged with the registered and approved participants before the seminar to ensure your eligibility and prepare your participation (including matters pertaining to health SOPs). Any participant who fails to attend the briefing will be automatically removed from the seminar.
3. Please ensure that all information you provide below are complete and accurate. Incomplete or inaccurate information will result in your registration not being processed.

Refreshments will be provided for the afternoon session. E-certificates of participation will be given after the seminar. More details will be provided soon.
