Counselor Volunteer Form
Bless you for your willingness to invest in these young human beings during the 2018-2019 application season. If you've any queries before you begin, pop over to the FAQs on the website (https://www.collegeessayguy.com/matchlighters) or email us at matchlighters@collegeessayguy.com.

Once you've completed this form (it'll take you about 10 minutes), you'll receive an email with instructions about what's next.

It's very important to us that our Scholars feel well-supported throughout their application process, so we'd like to ask that you read through the responsibilities of the position before filling out this volunteer form. By submitting this form, you agree to work with at least one student (at least six hours of help) and commit to the guidelines mentioned on the Matchlighters Page: these guidelines include the section titled "About the Process (For Counselors)" and the extended FAQ. You can find a link to those guidelines here: https://www.collegeessayguy.com/matchlighters

In the meantime, happy editing!

We prefer depth over breadth, which is why we've narrowed the options to one or two students. Essays = 4 hours per student, and college list development = 2 hours per student; so, roughly 2-6 hours per student. Please note that, if you'd like to work with our low-income international students, their list-development process can take a bit longer.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
