This study is being conducted as part of a grade in our experimental research methods course. The goal of this study is to determine the effects of audio frequency on your wellbeing. During this study, you will be asked to complete a survey on your anxiety symptoms and then listen to a short video in which an auditory frequency will be played.
If you decide to participate in this study, it will only last around 10 minutes time.
All information collected will be completely anonymous. Your survey results will be assigned a code number and will not be associated with your identity. The researchers will not discuss your identity or mention your participation in this study. The information collected will be stored on a password protected private computer, owned by the professor of this course, Dr. Neda Moinolmolki.
Please note that the survey will ask you to describe the state of your anxiety; the questions are relatively general but they may lead to some emotional discomfort. Potential risks involved with this study include frustration or emotional discomfort due to the questions in the survey. If the survey triggers any additional anxiety, or you feel you could benefit from outside help, there are resources you can reach out to:

Participation in this study is totally optional, and you can drop out at any time without
repercussion. Possible benefits include more awareness of your anxiety symptoms and a possible
minor alleviation of anxiety symptoms. Because the survey you will be asked to complete only
takes a short time, we don’t anticipate any long term negative implications.
