Story Pitch Form: Redwoods Listening Post
This form is being used to pitch stories and story ideas for The Redwoods Listening Post and our digital platform The RLP. 

The Redwoods Listening Post, a collaborative project of Access Humboldt and Internews, brings forward new perspectives and accurate, insightful coverage of local issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic response and recovery.

Depending on length and complexity, we pay $150 - $250 per story. Terms of pay and deadlines will be discussed when the pitch is accepted. The RLP team will provide editing and training to ensure the finished products are publication or production-ready for distribution. The RLP can provide access to the Access Humboldt studio and production tools to create stories for our digital publication.

*EDITORIAL SUPPORT*
The Redwoods Listening Post team will provide editing and training to ensure the finished products are publication or production ready for distribution. Access Humboldt and RLP can provide access to our studio and production tools to create stories for television, podcasts, radio and digital publication.  

*DISTRIBUTION*
The Redwoods Listening Post team will help deliver your story in multiple ways, including using print, messaging apps, social media channels, video and radio distribution. The stories will become available for the North Coast Journal and other partners to share with their audiences.

*TRANSLATION*
Translation services are available to reach diverse members of our community who may not receive important information that is often English language only.

Even if your story is not selected for the Redwoods Listening Post, you can still share your story through Access Humboldt. We’ll get in touch with you about your pitch and next steps within 7 days of your submission.
