Skyland Pantry Survey
We are creating a strategic vision for Skyland’s pantry and would really appreciate your input. Now that more Skyland activities are resuming, our goals are to integrate the pantry with our multi-use campus and to take advantage of pantry resources and grants from our enthusiastic West Valley Community Services partner.

The Little Free Food Pantry has grown from a neighbor to neighbor “Little Food Pantry” to a much larger community asset that many rely on. Through the pantry, Skyland Community Church now relieves the burden of food insecurity for at least 100- 150 individuals and families in our mountain community. We estimate that we are feeding 800-1000 meals per month.

The footprint of the pantry activities includes areas for food intake/processing, storage, and the outside pantry Our OUTSIDE PANTRY has two cabinets for staples, and two outside refrigerators. We have 30 volunteers who restock daily and fill and transport food from providers who supply the majority of our donations. Our volunteer hours are posted daily and can vary based on the best times for our volunteers, all while providing 24/7 access for those in need.

Your response to this 10-question survey will help guide the Missions Ministry Team, the Trustees, and Skyland Church leadership in the next phase of the Little Free Pantry.

This will be a multi-phased process that will be worked out primarily by the Missions Board, the Church Council, the Trustees, the volunteers and our clients. We will do our best to keep everyone up to date. Please check the newsletter monthly and if you have questions, reach out to the Mission Board members.
