The Students of Color Committee (SCC), Latinx, and Queers in the Built Environment (QuBE) at MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP) are committed to increasing the diversity of each admitted class and are excited that you are considering the PASS program in your application process.
What is PASS?
PASS is a mentorship program intended to support prospective international applicants, queer applicants, and applicants of color by connecting them to current students who can provide guidance during the application process. Mentors can advise on individual applications, proofread final drafts of essays, and answer questions about the curriculum. The PASS program is most active during the fall and winter months.
Please complete the form below if you are interested in signing up for an SCC-PASS mentor. As this is a student-led initiative, the availability of mentors varies and it may take a few weeks to be matched. Upon being matched, an SCC-PASS member or mentor will contact you via email. Please note: this initiative is primarily geared toward prospective Masters students; PhD students are welcome to sign up, but our ability to match you is quite limited as most volunteers are Masters students. If you'd like additional information about the PhD program, we encourage you to reach out to the departmental contact for PhD admissions.
If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message at firstname.lastname@example.org.
