VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2018 XPoNential Festival! All applications are considered; however, referrals, continued years of experience volunteering at XPoNential, and availability will assist in guaranteeing placement for you on an XPoNential Volunteer Team.


Festival Dates: July 27, 28 & 29 Festival Set Up: July 25 & 26 Festival Break Down: July 30


The following days, times and areas are where we now have the greatest need for volunteers:


FRIDAY
XPN CENTRAL: 5-8pm, 8-11pm

SATURDAY
XPN CENTRAL: 4:30-7:30pm, 8-10:30pm

SUNDAY
**BUSINESS SUPPORT: 4-7:30pm**


MONDAY
BREAKDOWN: 8:30AM-1:30PM-VOLUNTEERS w/VEHICLES NEEDED


**VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS**
Please refer to the below descriptions as you select the areas where you are interested in volunteering.

BEVERAGES: Pour and dispense beverages to members in the members only area. *Must be comfortable being on feet for the whole shift.*

BUSINESS SUPPORT: We need help Pre-festival (Wednesday & Thursday) with loading in vendors. During the festival we also need a big crew of volunteers to assist in the set-up, support and break down of our vendors. *Requires lifting, bending, walking and standing for the majority of the shift*

CHILDREN'S GARDEN: Greet and direct families, assist with activities including temporary tattoos and pop-up library, and provide information about the festival and XPN.

FLOATER: Assist the Volunteer Coordinator during the day in areas where extra help is needed. Be prepared to help in any area!

GREETER: Friendly, outgoing individuals are needed to greet festival-goers and answer questions about the festival and waterfront attractions. *Requires standing for entire shift*

MEMBER CHECK-IN & SUPPORT: Assist XPN Membership Staff with a variety of tasks include distributing Member festival tickets & providing information about XPN Membership. *Great for those who enjoy customer service and who would benefit from a seated volunteer position*

MEMBERS ONLY AREA: Greet and check credentials as guests enter the Members Only area.

MERCH SALES: Assist Main Street Music with XPN merchandise sales. *Only 2-3 volunteers needed per shift for this and retail experience is strongly preferred*

SET UP & BREAKDOWN: We need help Pre-Festival (Wednesday & Thursday) as well as the days of the festival with loading, unloading and distributing materials to various festival locations, hanging signage, setting up tables, performing end of day festival break down duties, and breaking down the festival on Monday! *Requires lifting, walking standing and carrying the whole shift*

VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN: Check in your fellow volunteers, hand out t-shirts and credentials, direct them to their sites and answer questions.

WALKIE TALKIE COORDINATOR: Assist the Logistics Key Coordinator in distributing walkie talkies to festival personnel, ensure that walkies are returned and charged at the end the day and that the communications office is kept neat and tidy. *Only 1 volunteer needed per shift

WRISTBANDERS: Apply wristbands to attendees for re-entry and membership areas. *Volunteers in this area must be comfortable working in a location that will at times be very fast-paced.*

XPN CENTRAL: Outgoing and friendly individuals are needed to help promote XPN! Tasks will included but are not limited to: assisting with the XPN prize wheel, answering guests questions about the festival and the station, as well as applying temporary tattoos.


**REMEMBER: You receive complimentary access to the festival ONLY on the days that you volunteer, UNLESS you are using a pass from a pre or post-festival shift.**

**If you help set-up or break-down the festival (Wed, Thurs, or Mon), you will be entitled to ONE free pass (day of your choice) for each day you volunteer. You may be scheduled to volunteer all of these days and get up to three passes. You are not allowed to transfer a pass from pre or post-festival volunteering to another individual.**
