The Women's Coaching Alliance is on a mission to develop female leaders through coaching youth sports. We pair our young coaches with two adult mentors: a Coach Mentor and a Leader Mentor. We're currently recruiting mentors for future seasons.
Which is the right role for you?
Coach Mentors set up new coaches for success by helping them navigate challenging situations and build their coaching confidence. Coach mentors will rely on their coaching experience to provide guidance in areas such as team and parent communications, preparing for practices and games using practice plans provided, and facilitating a fun and successful team environment for players of all skill levels. Leader Mentors help new coaches learn how coaching experiences translate into leadership. The leader mentor relies on their leadership experience to highlight the transferable leadership skills coaches are learning, such as problem-solving, listening, navigating conflict, and leading groups with different skill levels.
