이승만 전 대통령은 일제 강점기 이민 선조들이 사탕수수 농장과 오렌지 농장에서 피땀 흘려 모금한 임시정부 지원금을 사적으로 유용하고, 임시정부에 송금도 끊어 이민 선조들의 순수한 애국 염원을 앗아간 인물입니다.이민 후손들이 그러한 인물의 동상을 세운다면 선조들에게 못할 짓이고 후세에도 부끄러운 일이 될 것입니다.
제주 4.3과 그 전후로 수 많은 양민을 학살하고, 부정선거로 하야한 독재자 이승만은 친일 뉴라이트의 정치적인 상징입니다. 대한민국 헌법은 대한민국이 3·1운동으로 건립된 대한민국임시정부의 법통과 불의에 항거한 4·19민주이념을 계승한다고 밝히고 있습니다.
이에 이승만 동상 건립 반대 의지를 주미대사관에 전달하고자 합니다. 미국의 수도 워싱턴 디씨에, 그리고 대한민국 대사관 앞에 이 동상을 설치 하는일은 없어야 할것입니다.

We oppose the placement of a statue of Syngman Rhee in front of the Republic of Korea Embassy in Washington D.C.!
Former President Syngman Rhee is a person who took away the pure patriotic aspirations of our immigrant ancestors by personally misappropriating the provisional government support funds that our immigrant ancestors raised through their blood and sweat on sugar cane and orange farms during the Japanese colonial period, and by cutting off remittances to the provisional government.
If descendants of immigrants place statues of such figures, it would be a disservice to their ancestors and a shame for future generations.
Syngman Rhee, the dictator who massacred countless civilians before and after the Jeju April 3 Uprising and was forced to step down due to election fraud, is a political symbol of the pro-Japanese New Right. The Constitution of the Republic of Korea states that the Republic of Korea will inherit the 4.19 April Revolution that protested against injustice and the passage of the law by the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea established through the March 1st Movement.
Accordingly, we would like to convey our opposition to the placement of a statue of Syngman Rhee at the Republic of Korea Embassy in the United States. This statue should not be installed in Washington DC, the capital of the United States, and in front of the Korean Embassy.
We will collect the first round of signatures by December 18th. We ask you to act quickly!
