Preparing for the 2020-2021 School Year for Students in the Dickenson County Schools
As we consider what instruction will look like for the 2020 -2021 school year,
the Dickenson County School Division is committed to the health and well-being of our
students, our staff, and all school community members. DCPS will follow the
Centers for Disease Control (CDC)/Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the
Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) Safe Return to School Guidelines.

To ensure the social distancing and health protocol requirements for students
and staff, DCPS is considering a variety of scheduling models in which to
deliver instruction. Before a model is selected, we would like to know what you
think would be best for your child regarding a daily to weekly schedule for the
2020-2021 school year.

In this survey, there are examples of school schedules and each has pros
and cons and considerations when implementing them. The information
gathered from this survey will be used to assist in planning for the
2020-2021 school year.

Please be sure complete a separate survey for each child in your

Please note that with any model selected and implemented by DCPS, the potential of
additional school closures or the implementation of other instructional
schedules may be necessary due to COVID-19 confirmed cases.
