Volunteer at Gulf Coast MakerCon 2017
Gulf Coast MakerCon 2017 is produced by the Eureka Factory, the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation, and a creative collaborative of business partners and individuals dedicated to the principle of creative empowerment. We welcome mature and responsible volunteers ages 16+ to help with event set up and break down, staffing the information table and assisting guests throughout the day. Volunteers serving a minimum of 4 hours will receive two additional tickets to the event and an event shirt. Volunteers serving the full day also receive lunch. Please register to volunteer by March 30th, 2017. (Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.) All volunteers must sign volunteer release forms prior to the event. Which of the following area can you assist with? You can make multiple selections. Training will be provided where needed.
Set Up Staff — Maker check-in and load-in
Activity Areas — support with keeping the area fun and safe
Information Booth — Answer questions from the public regarding exhibits and their locations.
Maker Check-In Attendants — Assist Makers with check in, and directing them to their location
Maker Assistants — Help as needed with breaks and whatever they may need in the way of assistance to help showcase their project.
General Runners — Task related assignments directed by the Show Office.
Break Down Staff - Assisting with event break down at end of day
