Abstract: The ESPOL webinar examines the US presidential election and its implications. In the context of a global pandemic, which hit the USA in particular, a stark polarisation of US society, and disputes about the legitimacy of the US elections, among others, the election is emerging as a stress test for American democracy. Our three distinguished speakers – from the US and from France – will analyse the election results and their determining factors, and the implications for US politics and democracy.
