We are thrilled to have panelists from various backgrounds who will provide you with advice and tips on how to achieve your goals through firsthand experience.

Be sure to register by Tuesday, April 24th so that we know how many folks to expect. Please note, this event is open to everybody and you do not need to be an NUTV member to register.

Panelists:
-Peter Strand Rumpel (Actor):

Peter has been a professional actor for almost 20 years with roles in The Revenant, Fargo, Wynonna Earp and Hell on Wheels. On top of being an accomplished actor, Peter is also one of the founding members of the comedy group Obscene But No Heard. Peter is thrilled at the opportunity to discuss how he became a professional actor and how his skills as a comedian inform his dramatic roles.

-Yvonne Cox (Special Effects Make-up):

Yvonne has always loved monsters and now has a career creating them for the film and TV industry. On top of being one of the best special effects make-up artists in Calgary, Yvonne was also a contestant on the SyFy special effects make-up series Face Off where she finished in fourth place. Yvonne can't wait to discuss her trajectory from a horror fan living in a small town to a world-class special effects designer.

-Brendon Rathbone (Colourist):

On top of being a filmmaker himself, Brendon has been a post-producion colourist for almost 10 years. He has had the privilege of working on short films, feature films and many ads for companies such as The Calgary Stampede. He is very excited to discuss the various roles available in the post-production industry.

-Ingrid Vargas (Filmmaker):

Ingrid graduated from the SAIT Film/Video production program only two years ago and has already created her own successful short films and is working on her new film with funding from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Ingrid is excited to discuss proven tips on how to create your own films outside of a post-secondary institution.
