Across many organizations in Tanzania: government, NGOs, and private sector, large amounts of data are collected through reports, surveys, and monitoring systems. However, this data is often presented in a way that is difficult to understand, with too many numbers, complex charts, or unclear messages. As a result, important insights are missed, and decision-makers may not fully use the available information.
Data storytelling helps bridge this gap by turning raw data into simple, meaningful messages that people can easily understand and act on. It combines data, visuals, and clear explanations to highlight what matters most. Understanding the common do’s and don’ts can greatly improve how information is shared and used in real life and decision making.
This knowledge exchange session provides a platform for sharing practical experiences on how to present data more effectively. Participants will learn from real examples and discuss what works and what does not when communicating data.
