20240207-20240425 Community Dialogues

Join us for a facilitated 90 minute session during which you can engage with peers from diverse backgrounds, learn more about the use of dialogue as an effective method of communication, and practice those skills with your peers. The activities will accentuate and strengthen your understanding of conflict management and their implications for involvement with the community.

The purpose of Community Dialogues is to help students develop personally and professional by 1) promoting an understanding of conflict management skills, 2) providing an opportunity for students to learn and practice skills that will help them better engage with other members of the Community; and 3) developing critical thinking skills.

Students who participate in the Community Dialogues program will be able to:
  • Identify important aspects of their personal backgrounds
  • Articulate the value of understanding different perspectives
  • Describe and demonstrate principles of positive social engagement in communication
  • Understand about being responsible members of the Community
