Standing up for Science media workshop: application form
On 30 November Sense about Science are awarding the 2017 John Maddox Prize at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Ahead of this, we're running a workshop for early career researchers, particularly those working in difficult areas on how to make your voice heard in public debates.

This full day event is FREE and for all STEM early career researchers and scientists (PhD students, post-docs or equivalent in first job).

Meet scientists who have engaged with the media; learn from respected science journalists about how the media works, how to respond and comment, and what journalists expect from scientists; and get hints and tips from communications and engagement experts.

Complete this form to apply for a free place. For more details, email Ana: ana@senseaboutscience.org. Deadline for applications: 5pm, Monday 13th October.
