Prior to and during the workshop, you will receive guidance on what to include in a teaching statement, and during the workshop there will be significant time devoted to dedicated work time either on your own writing or receiving peer feedback on a draft. This workshop will be particularly helpful to those going on the job market soon, though all are welcome.
The workshop will take place from 9am-12pm in the Teaching + Learning Commons, Room 1505, Geisel 1st Floor West.
9-10am= What makes an effective Teaching Statement? -- Insights and discussion on writing the statement.10-11am= How do I write one? -- Writing and/or getting feedback.11-12pm= How do I know if it's working? -- Analyzing examples of statements and addressing challenges in the writing process.
