Robert Varney Memorial Scholarship
Robert Varney spent 33 years teaching elementary, junior high and high school students in the Bensenville and Wood Dale communities. He retired from Fenton High School in Bensenville having spent years as their business teacher, business department chairman and sponsor of the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). Mr. Varney was also a morning bus driver for K-12 grade students. As a business teacher, he worked with Bensenville and the surrounding communities placing his students at local community businesses and monitoring their success. He gave back to the community by serving on the Chamber of Commerce in officer positions while representing the school district.

Scholarship Information:
Amount: $1000
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Must have been accepted into a community college or four-year college or university
Preference will be given to students who have taken business education classes.
Must possess the zeal and enthusiasm to become an educator with a positive outlook on life and their career choice.
