You are cordially invited to participate in a Peer Review Panel to evaluate the quality and alignment of New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Science (NJSLS-S) materials related to our domains.
Objective: To identify lessons, units, and other curriculum resources that best exemplifies the 3-D teaching and learning of the NJSLS-S within the domains of K-12 Earth, Space, and Environmental Science. We will review (not endorse) existing materials in order to provide NJ educators with a repository of quality teaching resources. Once finalized, the evaluations will be made available to Environmental, Earth & Space Science teachers across the state.
The two-day training will be hosted by NJ Earth Science Teachers Association, and led by Michael Heinz, Science Coordinator at the New Jersey Department of Education. Review panel participants MUST attend both of the following training sessions:
*Saturday February 4, 2017 at Palmyra Cove Nature Park (http://www.palmyracove.org/)and*Wednesday February 22, 2017 at Learning Resource Center at NJ Dept of Ed, 200 Riverview Plaza, Trenton NJ 08625 (verify your GPS directions by also looking up Arm and Hammer Baseball Park)
