Sign up for a
weekly volunteer shift to clean and check in, or pick up and drop off food and essentials to The Hatch x Rosscarrock Community Fridge located at 4411 10 Ave SW.
Volunteer Responsibilities [Cleaning & Checking In]:
1. Use provided cleaner to clean inside the fridge, pantry shelves, and high touch areas
2. Pick up litter around the space, break down cardboard boxes, and dispose of in the appropriate containers
3. Check the fridge and freezer temperatures
4. Check food for expiry dates, mould, or damage and remove unacceptable items
5. Organize food and essential items for easy access
6. Take a photo of the current inventory and post it in the volunteer group chat
7. Feel great about your contribution to mutual aid and community care :)
Volunteer Responsibilities [Donation Pick Up & Stocking]:
1. Pick up food and/or essential item order as scheduled. **Most pick ups are in the SW area near Westhills on weekends
2. Stock the fridge and pantry. Take a photo and post it in the volunteer group chat
3. Feel great about your contribution to mutual aid and community care :)
