Billions of our public dollars are sitting in Wall Street banks while California struggles to fund affordable housing, climate solutions, and infrastructure. This bill starts the path to changing that. AB 2243 authorizes California to begin designing a state bank through a State Bank Commission and an independent State Bank Plan.
