The Community Police Academy is free for adults of any age and background who live or work within the city limits of New Hope, Crystal & Robbinsdale. Attendees will learn through classroom presentations and hands on experiences in multiple areas including investigations, K-9 demonstrations, patrol tactics & traffic stops. Participants will tour Hennepin County dispatch and participate in scenarios based on the information presented.

The Community Police Academy is run by members of the New Hope, Crystal & Robbinsdale Police Departments and evenings will rotate between the three departments.

A brief background check is conducted on all applicants.
