Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering! I am based in the bay area, but our foundation is global.

Teaching Experience is not required.

You will be required to submit a recording of yourself playing a piece on your primary instrument (Unlisted Youtube Link), and any secondary instruments that you would like to teach. The recording should be long enough to allow me to be confident in proficiency on your instrument, and should be a reflection of your highest caliber of playing. Instead, you may submit an audition tape that was used for another ensemble (ex. a list of orchestral excerpts), as long as it shows your playing level and is longer than 3 minutes. You will be matched to a fitting student depending on your level. You may also become more of a practice buddy and role model, rather than a teacher.

There is no minimum amount of service hours. Your only responsibility is to schedule lessons with the student you are assigned (by email) to teach. Lessons will be provided over zoom and can be for any length of time (decided by you and the student).

For every 10 hours of service, you may get a free 3D printed musician gadget (ex. stop mutes, straight mutes, cup mutes, pencil clips, clip on brass mustaches). Contact me at bellesofbrass@gmail.com for details.
