Organizing for Everyone
Please sign up here if you are interested in joining Astoria Worker Project’s newest class, Organizing for Everyone. The class will be held in-person in Astoria, on Monday evenings, 6:00-8:30pm, from August 3 to September 28 (with a week off for Labor Day on Sept 7). 

This 8-week course will provide students with an introduction to community organizing, covering many different types of organizing, such as labor unions, tenant associations, mutual aid, legislative efforts, and more.

This class will be held on Mondays, 6:00pm-8:30pm from August 3 to September 28 (with a week off for Labor Day on September 7). The class is in person at an office located 2 blocks from the Astoria Blvd subway stop. 

The class is completely free, but out of respect for the other participants, we ask students to commit to attending on time and consistently. We also ask that you set aside 2 hours of time per week for homework.
