Hello! FISH house (also known as Douglas house) is the Christian interest house on campus. It is a cute little house across from the Weitz and has room for 7 people total (one triple, one double, two singles, two baths). FISH has been a wonderful, small community of Carls who are either Christian or are respectful of the Christian faith. It is a place of acceptance, openness, community, and fun. Each resident has the option of the 5, 15, or 20 meal plan. Most of us go on the 5 and contribute to a group grocery fund at the beginning of term. We cook house dinners together about 4 nights a week (generally Mondays - Thursdays). Of course, we all have chores which rotate on a weekly basis. You can look forward to study sessions in the living room, movie/game nights, Just Dance sessions, and honestly whatever your imagination conjures up. Every now and then FISH house opens up to the broader Carleton Christian community often for events like game nights, movies, and chocolate fondue consumption. We are looking forward to continuing to live in community with carls in pursuit of living a life of acceptance and love in the image of Christ. Please feel free to reach out to yumk@ with any questions.
