Tuesday, 1/14/2025, 12PM PST: How is Advising at the Grad Level? - Hybrid (for in-person: University Gateway, 2nd Floor, Gather Conference)
  • Graduate student advising will look different compared to your undergrad experience. This workshop will review faculty advising, what is a RPC coordinator, how to select your courses each semester, your path to graduation, and more!
Wednesday, 1/15/2025, 12PM PST: How to Finance Your Graduate Education - Hybrid (for in-person: University Gateway, 2nd Floor, Gather Conference)
  • This workshop discusses all financial options for funding your graduate degree. Specifically the workshop will focus on graduate assistantships, access funding, and what Graduate College scholarships/fellowships are available to you.
Thursday, 1/16/2025, 12PM PST: How to Get Involved as a Graduate Student - Hybrid (for in-person: University Gateway, 2nd Floor, Gather Conference)
  • This workshop will focus on the different ways to get involved as a graduate student, including information about The Grad Academy, Graduate Student Services, GRSOs, and upcoming events and programming at the Graduate College. 
Friday, 1/17/2025, 4PM PST: Welcome Mixer - In-Person (Student Union Ballroom)

  • Join the Graduate College and the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) for our welcome mixer. Students will have the opportunity to: hear from the vice provost for graduate education and dean of the Graduate College; participate in a Q&A panel with current graduate students; receive a T-shirt; learn about different resources and services available for graduate students; and mix and mingle with fellow students and faculty.
Tuesday, 1/21/2025, 10AM PST: Graduate Student Open House - In-Person (Lied Library, 2nd Floor, Graduate Commons)
  • On Tuesday, January 21, the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) and the Graduate College will host an open house where you can drop in between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and spin for swag. In addition, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. there will be donuts, coffee, and yogurt. From 2 - 4 p.m. there will be cookies, juice, and yogurt.
