HaLailah HaZoom! - Passover Seder RSVP with T'chiyah
We are in a turbulent, in-between time: our daily routines have been ruptured, our rhythms shaken -- but we don't quite know what comes next.
In some ways, we are now better positioned than ever to heed the call of the Haggadah, to connect with that which in our life harkens to the ancient liberation of our ancestors...
And yet, we are stymied - by mandatory distancing, by the danger of disease, and by the shock, grief and fear we carry. How can we make meaning together in this strange situation? How can we water the seeds of liberation in crisis? How do we respond when the world as we know it has changed overnight?
***Though mandatory physical distancing means we can't gather together in person for a Passover seder, we want to ensure that your Passover is full of meaning, connection and the spirit of solidarity that our ancestors intended. Use this form to:
1. Sign-up for a Matzah Pick-Up / Drop-Off!
2. Sign-up to be matched to a seder for the first night of Passover (April 8)
3. RSVP for "HaLailah HaZoom" - our participatory community seder over Zoom second-night seder (April 9)
If you have any questions, please email
We have matzah available for members of the congregation! We will make it available for curbside pick-up, but can do some deliveries as needed. (Non-members can request matzah, but we will prioritize distribution to members.) What is your preferred method for matzah acquisition?
Pick-up in Detroit (@ Rabbi's House)
Pick-up in suburbs (Location TBD)
I would prefer that matzah is delivered to me.
My matzah needs are all set - I won't need matzah pick-up / delivery.
Are you HOSTING or SEEKING a Zoom seder for the first night of Passover, April 8?
I am HOSTING/attending an online seder, and would welcome guests from the congregation.
I am HOSTING/attending an online seder, and would prefer to keep it private.
I am SEEKING an online seder to attend for the first night of Passover, April 8.
I am NOT hosting or seeking a seder -- my seder needs are all set.
Will you join us for HaLailah HaZoom - our online Passover seder - on April 9?
Not sure - please follow up with me.
We want to feature a diversity of different voices with unique twists to make this a "crowdsourced" seder. Will you help us out by volunteering to lead / facilitate a portion of the seder? (We'll help you!)
Yes, and I know which specific section(s) that I would like to lead.
Sure! Give me a random section and I'll try my hand at it.
Yes, but only if someone joins me to co-lead.
I'm not interested / able to lead part of the seder at this time.
Do you feel proficient enough with Zoom to participate in the online seder without much tech difficulty?
YES, I feel proficient with Zoom and do not anticipate tech difficulties.
NO, I do not feel proficient with Zoom. I need some tech guidance.
Do you have any accessibility needs that we should bear in mind when designing our program? (ex: low vision, hard of hearing, must finish by a certain time, etc.)
