Young Volunteers Needed for SDGs Project
In 2015 Scotland signed up to a groundbreaking global agreement on creating a better world, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Achieving the SDGs requires the partnership of governments, civil society, the private sector and citizens alike to make sure we leave a better planet for future generations. There are 17 goals in total, they cover everything from education and employment to poverty and climate change (more info here:

We need you!

It’s important to us that young peoples' voices are heard on these issues. We are looking for 30 volunteers, aged 16-24 to form a group that will work together to generate and share ideas around the SDGs. So, if you are interested in creating positive change in your community, your country or internationally we want to hear from you!

We'll give you training, contacts and a platform, and will link you up with other young people working on these issues around the world. What's more you'll be part of an awesome team of 30 like-minded people.

Sound good?

If you are interested in tackling these issues in your community, in the UK or internationally we would love to work with you.

The project will be structured around seven workshop days and events from February to December 2019, including a Parliamentary event in November 2019. Throughout the course of these sessions we will work with you to develop policy ideas around the SDGs and about how government can become more open to allow these ideas to be heard.
