The (CTRMA) Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority’s proposed expansion of MoPac South is an imminent threat to Barton Springs, endangered salamanders, fragile cave habitat, water quality in the Edwards Aquifer, and the future of Austin as we know it. We need all hands on deck. CTRMA has released a Draft Environmental Assessment, and we are organizing to demand a full Environmental Impact Statement and push for smarter, safer alternatives.

The Better MoPac Coalition is a growing network of neighbors, scientists, businesses, advocates, and community leaders working together to protect our water and hold decision-makers accountable.
