BMAP Pollinator Habitat Workshop Registration
Join the Blue Mounds Area Project to learn about the pollinators of southwest Wisconsin, and how to create and manage habitat to promote them. Tour a high quality restored prairie for inspiration, and learn about options to monitor restoration outcomes. Then meet with a variety of partners to discuss programs that provide landowners with technical or financial assistance to plant pollinator habitat.

9:00 - Introduction to the day
9:15 - Introduction to the life cycle of bees, tips for identification, and recommended plants and structural needs for year-round bee habitat.
10:00 - Introduction to the life cycle of butterflies, tips for identification, and general habitat needs throughout the year.
10:45 - BREAK
11:00 - Tracking and monitoring your habitat
11:15 - Prairie tour
12:00 - LUNCH (provided)
12:30 - Round table discussions with partners (tentative: Wild Pheasant Fund, CRP SAFE Pollinator program, WDNR Landowner Incentive Program, Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund)
